Meet Kayleigh McAllister

Kayleigh McAllister is the award-winning founder and creative force behind Penelope Fleur by KDM, Flowers by KDM, KDM Event Styling & Floral Design, and Bloom Box.

Having worked within the floral industry since 2004, Kayleigh has built a reputation for creating exceptional floral experiences and luxury event styling across Scotland and beyond. With a passion for design, entrepreneurship and customer experience, she founded KDM Event Styling & Floral Design in 2018, delivering bespoke floral and styling concepts for weddings, corporate events and luxury celebrations.

In 2021, Kayleigh launched Penelope Fleur by KDM, a boutique florist renowned for its beautiful floral designs, wedding floristry and corporate installations. The business quickly became one of Edinburgh's most sought-after floral studios, trusted by both private clients and leading brands.

Continuing her vision for innovation within the floral industry, Kayleigh launched Bloom Box in 2026 – Scotland's first 24/7 automated flower vending concept. Following a hugely successful launch at St James Quarter, Bloom Box is now expanding across shopping centres, transport hubs and commercial destinations throughout the UK.

As a self-made entrepreneur, Kayleigh's journey has been built on creativity, resilience and a commitment to delivering excellence. Her expertise lies not simply in creating flowers or events, but in crafting memorable experiences that leave a lasting impression.

In 2026, Kayleigh was named a Finalist in the Female Founder Awards Scotland, recognising her contribution to innovation and entrepreneurship within the events and hospitality sector.
